Amidst Political Chaos In Bangladesh, Ahmadi Muslims Are Violently Attacked

The International Human Rights Committee (IHRC) is alarmed that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been violently attacked in the course of the recent the political upheaval in Bangladesh, as law and order have broken down.

Properties, houses, shops, and mosques in different parts of the country have been burned and looted. Nearly twenty Ahmadis have been injured, and some of them have been rushed to nearby hospitals. It is too early to describe specific cases as riots continue in some areas. Due to the deteriorating situation many Ahmadis have had to flee their homes as is apparent from videos and pictures being shared on social media (video[1], video[2], video[3], video[4]).

Anti Ahmadiyya Clerics (Mullahs) along with communal miscreants took the opportunity of the fall of the government and torched and looted around 88 houses. The main Mosques have been burnt and badly damaged. One injured citizen is in very critical condition.

Mullahs have vandalized and burnt the Mosque at Taraganj under Rangpur district, and also attacked the mosque at Mathertek of Dhaka City.

Pictures: Fanatic Mullahs along with their supporters have attacked the Ahmadiyya Mosque, Jamia Theological School, Place for Annual Convention & houses of Ahmadis.
