Ahmadi Muslims barred by law from celebrating Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan
Pakistani authorities have barred Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan from gathering for Eid-ul-Adha as Muslims worldwide commemorate the Islamic festival.
In a grievous violation of basic human rights and religious freedom, circulars by the Lahore Bar Association and the Gojra Bar Association instruct local police forces to take “pre-emptive and preventive” measures to ensure Ahmadi Muslims neither participate in Qurbani (animal sacrifice ritual carried out by Muslims the world over on the occasion of Eid) nor congregate for prayer on this special day for the Islamic world.
The Lahore Bar Association says such “violations” would necessitate taking “strict, iron-handed and preventative” measures.
State institutions like these were once thought of as the unbiased and open-minded final resort for the oppressed and standard bearers of justice, working for the people regardless of caste, race or religious belief.
Other messages have been circulated across the country urging people to report Ahmadi Muslims caught carrying out animal sacrifice to the police.
Eid celebrations and animal sacrifice on this occasion is a long-standing tradition of Muslims the world over since the inception of Islam. Ahmadi Muslims have always been part of this tradition.
This is the latest in a long series of restrictions and oppression by state authorities in Pakistan against the marginalised and persecuted Ahmadi Muslim Community.
The plight of Ahmadi Muslims has caught global attention. In recent days U.S. congressman Michael McCaul tweeted:
“We continue to be alarmed by the uptick in violence against Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan. An Ahmadi man was reportedly arrested for having a Muslim name, & his lawyers were beaten in open court. Such brazen persecution must cease. Ahmadi prisoners of conscience should be released.”
The United Nations and global human rights groups have long expressed serious concern over the poor treatment of Ahmadis in Pakistan which continues unabated.
In view of such hate-filled propaganda, there is a likelihood that Ahmadis would be deprived of fulfilling this fundamental practice associated with this event and many would have to face criminal prosecution just because of practicing their faith.
The Eid ul Azha Festival is going to be celebrated in Pakistan in the end of June 2023 and, as the situation of Ahmadis living in Pakistan is precarious and Mullahs as well as police are trying to persecute them only because of performing their religious rituals, hence, once again we plead to the International Community to take urgent action to urge the Government of Pakistan to safeguard the civil and religious freedoms of Ahmadis and provide them with the safety and security in order to observe and practise their faith.
On July 13, 2021, UN human rights experts expressed their deep concern over the lack of attention to the serious human rights violations perpetrated against the Ahmadiyya community around the world and called on the international community to step up efforts in bringing an end to the ongoing persecution of Ahmadis.
We once again urge the international community to pressure the Government of Pakistan to honor its responsibility to provide protection to all its citizens, ensure freedom of religious practice to Ahmadis, and bring perpetrators of such vicious attacks to justice. The Government of Pakistan must also bring its laws and practices in conformity with international standards as ordained by Article 2, 18 and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) Article 25, 26.

It is written that instructions have been received from the Home Department and Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad that members of the Ahmadiyya community sacrifice animals on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, which can raise objections among Muslims. This could lead to religious tensions. Last year, there was a religious conflict in the Karyala area police station, Kusukhi, and the Sadr Hafizabad police station, Prem Kot, regarding this matter.
Therefore, you are strongly instructed to meet the people of the Ahmadiyya community at your respective circle and police station levels and obtain written statements from them confirming that they will not perform sacrificial rituals in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan, so that any unpleasant incidents can be prevented. After obtaining the written statements, send a copy to the Security Branch within two days.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

Application with regards to acting upon the law of 298-C according to the Penal Code of Pakistan (Ilegal Activities of the Qadianis) and the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in (1993 1718scmr) with regards to the Qadianis using the Islamic rituals such as Sacrifice of the animals and the Eid Gatherings etc
Respected Sir
It is humbly requested that (i) Qadianis are non-Muslim according to the articles 106(3) and 260(3) of the constitution of Pakistan (ii) According to clause 298-C of the penal code of Pakistan they cannot call themselves as Muslims, nor they can call their religion as Islam and in the violation of this they are liable to three years imprisonment.
(iii) according to the different decisions of different High Courts, Federal Shariah Court, and Especially under the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan of 1993 1718SCMR Qadianis are non-Muslims and they cannot use the Islamic rituals, nor they can preach their religion and if doing all this disturbs the law and order situation then they themselves will be responsible for it.

Qadianis conduct Eid Gatherings on the occasion of Eid ul Adha in which they violate the law while preaching their religion and there is a chance that all of these activities could result in disturbance of the law-and-order situation in the area. So, with regards to this it is requested that an order shall be issued that the law and constitution will be made to be acted upon in all the places so that the law-and-order situation does not get disturbed.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

Application with regards to the action taken against Qadiani non-Muslim group under the law 1, 2, 3, etc under section 298C of the PAKISTAN Penal Code using the Islamic rituals illegally and offering “sacrifices” on the occasion of Eid ul Adha.
Respected Sir!
The application is stated under the following points-
1- Eid ul Adha is an important event or festival of the Muslims , it is in Islamic Ritual and a practice in which the Muslims residing in all over the world offer sacrifices of the animal while following the practices of IBRAHIM and the Holy Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and to offer the sacrifice of the animals on the occasion of Eid ul Adha is only dedicated to the Muslims.
2-The Qadiani Group has been declared a non-Muslim minority by various courts and also under the constitution of Pakistan for having their infidel and blasphemous beliefs and under the Penal code of PAKISTAN section 298 B, 208-C Qadianis cannot present themselves as Muslims in whatever way and also they cannot call the wife of MIRZA guardian as the Mother of the Pious and his friends as companions and his family Ahl e Bait, and for spreading their infidel believes and representing their beliefs as the belief of ISLAM, using Islamic rituals, calling their places of worship as a mosque and damaging or disturbing or hurting the religious sentiments of the Muslims and all of these crimes are arrest-able by the Police and they’re also non-bailable.
3- Also that all of the Qadiani accused are continuously using the Islamic rituals openly against the law and the constitution and they are doing it on the whole and on the occasion of Eid ul Adha while representing themselves as Muslims and also a part of the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (P B U H) disguising it offer the sacrifice of the animals openly and are using the ritual of the sacrifice of the animal that is an open violation of the law and the constitution and the decision of the Supreme Court Pakistan 1993SCMR1718.
4- Non- Muslim Qadiani group are not liable to offer the Islamic Ritual of “sacrifice” like the Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Adha.
5- This illegal act on the collective level of the Qadiani accused has caused severe damage to the religious sentiments of the Muslims and 1,2 3,4 5,6 and other locals are witness to that.
Therefore through this application it is requested that the that the above mentioned Qadiani Accused and the other office bearers of the Qadiani Community shall be made to follow the orders that they are not allowed to offer the sacrifices of the animals on the occasion of Eid ul Adha illegally otherwise there will be strict action against the above mentioned nominated Qadianis and the other officials of the Qadiani community under section 298C so that the law and order could be maintained in the society. “All dignified Muslims while taking some time out should read this.”
And then share this with others that Qadianis Mirzais who call themselves Ahmadis are a non-Muslim minority according to the Law and the Constitution of Pakistan.
According to the Shariah, they are not ordinary Disbelievers they are the worst disbelievers.
Therefore, they cannot call themselves as Muslims, neither do our law permits them to carry out any religious activities similar to that of the Muslims. The festival of Eid ul Adha is near, they also sacrifice animals on this day like the Muslims, and present themselves as if they are Muslims.
It is our responsibility on being a dignified Muslim that whenever a Qadiani carries out an Islamic ritual we shall inform the law and we shall make these evils follow the law.
All Muslims should keep an eye in their area that if any Qadiani the apostate offers the sacrifice or brings an animal for the sacrifice so the dignified Muslims should gather and go to their respective Police Station to submit a complaint against him so that the law can carry out its responsibility. Stay firm, remain steadfast Allah’s Help will be with you.

As Pir Mehar Ali Shah said that the one who performs the task of Khatm e Nabuwat, he has the hand of the Holy Prophet (P B U H) on his back.
ANNEXURE G:
A social media post urging locals to to stop Ahmadis from celebrating Eid-ul-Adha and call police emergency helpline on urgent basis if they see any Ahmadi Muslim performing animal sacrifice or distributing animal meat.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
Qadianis cannot offer the sacrifice of the animals
According to the law and Constitution of Pakistan Qadianis cannot offer the sacrifice of the animals.
According to the Clause 298-B, and 298-C of the Anti- Ahmadiyya Ordinance 1984 the Qadianis cannot use any Islamic Rituals and the Sacrifice of animals is one of them. If you see any Qadiani offering the sacrifice of an animal or distributing the meat so immediately report to the Police 15.
